Spring Brook is obviously passionate about boating, which means we are equally passionate about growing boating and creating experiences you and your families can enjoy on the water. A good friend of ours is in need of our help. Navy Pier Marina is going to be a phenomenal, and much needed, addition to the Chicago Boating community, the city of Chicago, and historic Navy Pier. It will bring in revenue dollars the city needs, as well as provide a great spot for transients to utilize dockage at Navy Pier to enjoy the piers attractions and restaurants.

I’m very sad to report that the project has hit a bump in the road and we wanted to make our small community aware of this issue. We would love your support on this, something as simple as a quick email to the contacts provided really helps show the city that they need to stand behind this amazing project instead of standing in front of it. Please take a second to read more below from the developer of this amazing project and if you have a passion for boating, like I do, please take a second to send an email to the powers that be.

Much Appreciated & Happy Boating!

Navy Pier Marina will be a Chicago boaters paradise. It will connect the recreational boating community to the iconic People’s Pier providing them us direct access to all the food, entertainment and shopping that Navy Pier is known for. We all want the City to expedite the project which was approved by the City Council in 2016. But CDOT is holding up the construction permit. As a result, the developer, NPM Venture LLC, was forced to file a lawsuit against Chicago, CDOT and its Commissioner, Gia Biagi on September 8th

You can read the press release and sign up for periodic updates at www.navypiermarina.com

We encourage you to contact the City and tell them you want your marina now by emailing:

Samir Mayekar, Deputy Mayor, Development Samir.Mayekar@cityofchicago.org

&

Gia Biagi, Commissioner, CDOT Gia.Biagi@cityofchicago.org

Let’s write the City and widely spread the word via social to get the project the public support it needs ASAP!
