Two Italian Icons: Pardo Yachts 38 & Ferrari F8 Spider at Chicago Yacht Club

This past weekend, we were thrilled to partner with Continental Auto Sports to showcase two Italian icons; the 2021 Pardo Yachts 38 and the latest Ferrari F8 Spider. At Chicago's most iconic boating location, we were joined by guests excited to see these two brand new models on a beautiful summer afternoon at Chicago Yacht Club.

The afternoon started with set private appointments throughout the day with canned refreshments and sweets followed by an cocktail reception for Chicago Yacht Club members. Heaven's Door Whiskey offered tastings and old fashions for guests of the cocktail reception. Pardo Yachts is synonymous with power, excellence, quality, and comfort. After the success of the Pardo 43 and 50, Pardo Yachts released the Pardo 38, rounding out the range of available sizes. The attention to detail in the fit and finish of the boat is first thing you will notice once stepping onboard. The hull is vacuum infused using vinyl-ester resin with high density PVC for hull sides and decks. This ensures optimal structural rigidity and excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.

The lounging areas are located both at the bow with a large and computable sunbathing area for three people, and at the stern, with two settees and a foldable table allowing space for six.

The linearity and refinement of the furnishings are further enhanced by the careful wood choices and attention to detail that make the interior of the Pardo 38 true excellence. The walk-around deck plan ensures safety, easy movement, and well-being onboard.

One of the most unique features on the Pardo 38 is the Quick Gyroscopic Stabilizer. It is rare on boats this size to have a stabilizer, and having the ability to anchor out comfortably or enjoy a longer day trip on slightly windier days is a huge benefit. allowing you to get the most out of your boat on days that many people would rather sit at the docks.

The Ferrari F8 Spider is the next generation of open top sports cars with a central-rear V8 engine. The new Ferrari F8 Spider was inspired by the F8 Tributo berlinetta, adding the Retractable Hard Top (RHT) to its design. Less extreme than the 488 Pista Spider but sportier than the 488 Spider, the F8 Spider is the new benchmark in "open air" super-sports models boasting extremely high performance, great handling and a particularly enjoyable driving experience.

This Ferrari spider is able to combine the qualities of the most successful 8 cylinder engine ever with the pleasure of driving in any conditions. It is based on the same unit that won the "International Engine of the Year" award for four consecutive years (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019), as well as being recognised as the best engine of the last 20 years. An incredible achievement for an engine, and a feat unparalleled by any other engine in the history of the award.
