St. Patrick's Day celebrations kicked off this weekend in Chicago as the city dyed the Chicago River green! The river is bright green between Columbus Drive and Orleans Street. The effect typically lasts for several days and is the city’s traditional kickoff to St. Patrick’s Day, with thousands of people lining Downtown bridges and the riverwalk to see the river. Dyeing the river is a longtime tradition in Chicago. It started in 1962 by representatives of the Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130.

This year, Spring Brook Marine Group launched the first 2023 Pardo Yachts 52GT in the Great Lakes that just arrived from Italy with guests to have the unique experience of boating the Chicago River while it is being dyed!

This Pardo 52GT is available for showings at Spring Brook Marine Chicago located in Streeterville at Ogden Slip. Contact our sales department to get onboard!
