60th Anniversary Celebration at Chicago Yacht Club

Spring Brook Marina celebrates 60 years in the boating business this year. To thank all of our great customers over the past 60 years, we hosted a 60th Anniversary party at Chicago Yacht Club featuring Sirena Yachts and Prestige Yachts. Party goers enjoyed music from Lakeshore Encore while look at the gorgeous city and lake views CYC has to offer. Weather turned out phenomenal! 

From the first time the original owners Ardis and Bob Thorpe looked out over the newly purchased property in Seneca, IL on the Illinois River, one thing has remained the same: a commitment to small-business family values, a hands-on approach, and a deep connection to the boating families we serve. Sixty years later, that same hands-on approach is a natural part of Spring Brook, although the marina and services have grown exponentially. "It truly is the 'American Dream' story and it made me really appreciate the work it took to build this business," Kyle Stenzel says.
